Histochemical differentiation of microfilariae from West African primates

Histochemical differentiation of microfilariae from West African primates

Zentralblatt fur Bakteriologie, Parasitenkunde, Infektionskrankheiten und Hygiene, Abteilung 1, Referate 257: 27-28

Eight types of microfilariae belonging to the genera Loa, Dirofilaria and Dipetalonema from the blood of 9 species of primates, are distinguished by the acid phosphatase activity observed in different parts of the filariae, particularly amphids, phasmids and excretory pores.
