Histochemical distribution and significance of non-specific esterase in the tissues of Paramphistomum cervi (Trematoda: Digenea)

Histochemical distribution and significance of non-specific esterase in the tissues of Paramphistomum cervi (Trematoda: Digenea)

Indian Journal of Parasitology 2(2): 107-110

The tegumental cells and the tegumental lining of the sucker of Paramphistomum cervi were intensely positive for non-specific esterase activity whereas the rest of the tegument exhibited weak or no activity. The gastrodermis, lymphatic system, nervous system, pharynx, uterus and ovary were also strongly positive.
