Histological response of the lymph nodes and spleen of piglets after immunization against swine fever with Pestivac vaccine

Histological response of the lymph nodes and spleen of piglets after immunization against swine fever with Pestivac vaccine

Folia Veterinaria 19(3/4): 175-189

The histological response of the lymph nodes and spleen of piglets to immunization comprised proliferation and metamorphosis of the cells of the reticulohistiocytic system with formation of dense lymphoid tissue and plasma-cell and myeloid metaplasia. Development of lymphoid tissue was observed in the early stage of immunization, and peak development occurred 8-15 days after immunization.
