Home range, activity, and daily movements of coyotes

Journal of Wildlife Management 43(4): 944-951

In the area of Cass, Lancaster, and Saunders counties in Nebraska, coyotes (Canis latrans) were studied to determine their behavior in intensively farmed Great Plains areas. Home range area was determined, and tended to increase seasonally. Nocturnal and early morning activity was most typical of the coyotes.
