Homoelogous chromosome transfers into hexaploid wheat and their influence on grain protein amounts

Data are presented showing that the substitution of chromosomes 2M from Aegilops comosa, 2Cu from Ae. umbellulata and 2Rm from Secale montanum for their related chromosomes in the hexaploid wheat Chinese Spring (CS) influenced the grain protein percentage. The substitution of 2M for 2D as in CS2D(2M) resulted in higher protein amounts than in CS.
