Honeyvine milkweed (Ampelamus albidus (Nutt.) Britt.) control in corn

Honeyvine milkweed (Ampelamus albidus (Nutt.) Britt.) control in corn

Abstracts of 1979 Meeting of the Weed Science Society of America: 24

Several post-em. herbicides were evaluated for Ampelamus albidus control in maize and on fallow in 1977 and '78. Glyphosate applied at rates of from 0.8 and 3.4 kg/ha when the vines were about 100 cm long, at mid-bloom, or in late summer provided up to 83% control but failed to suppress regrowth. Aminotriazole at 4.5 kg/ha also gave partial control.
