Imbibed storage of Melicoccus bijugatus and Eugenia brasiliensis (E. dombeyi) using abscisic acid as a germination inhibitor

Imbibed storage of Melicoccus bijugatus and Eugenia brasiliensis (E. dombeyi) using abscisic acid as a germination inhibitor

Seed Science and Technology 7(3): 403-406

Viability of Melicoccus bijugatus seeds was maintained completely over 17 weeks when they were stored with a 10-4M ABA solution. The same treatment kept Eugenia brasiliensis (E. dombeyi) seeds viable for 6 months, whereas storage under ambient conditions resulted in total loss of germinability within a month.
