Immune response of neonatal swine to inactivated foot-and-mouth disease virus vaccine with oil adjuvant. I. Influence of colostral antibody

Immune response of neonatal swine to inactivated foot-and-mouth disease virus vaccine with oil adjuvant. I. Influence of colostral antibody

Proceedings, Annual Meeting of the United States Animal Health Association: 244-255

An oil adjuvant vaccine was used to vaccinate sows against FMD. Their piglets had no humoral antibodies until they began to suck. Persistence of immunity varied directly with the length of time before farrowing that the sows had been vaccinated. The response to vaccination was equally good in piglets from vaccinated sows and from unvaccinated sows.
