Inheritance of resistance to fruit rot (Phytophthora parasitica Dast.) in tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.)

Inheritance of resistance to fruit rot (Phytophthora parasitica Dast.) in tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.)

Euphytica 28(2): 315-317

Crosses were made between L. pimpinellifolium EC 54725, resistant to P. parasitica, and the highly susceptible tomato cvs. Gola, Sioux, S12 and Lalmani. Studies of F1, F2 and backcross progeny indicated that EC 54725 carries a dominant gene imparting resistance.
