Data are presented showing that pod yield was closely associated with number of mature pods and number of secondary branches in a cross involving C501, with a semiindeterminate habit, and Ak12-24, with an erect habit, while in C501 X Ah6595, both semiindeterminate, pod yield was associated with number of mature pods and number and length of both primary and secondary branches.
