Invertase activity in the gut of 6th instar larvae of Spodoptera mauritia Boisd. (Noctuidae, Lepidoptera)

Invertase activity in the gut of 6th instar larvae of Spodoptera mauritia Boisd. (Noctuidae, Lepidoptera)

Experientia 36(2): 162-163

Invertase activity was studied in the fore-, mid- and hind-gut of sixth-instar larvae of Spodoptera mauritia (Boisd.) in the laboratory in India. The highest activity was in the mid-gut, except during the early hours of the instar, when activity in the fore-gut was high.
