Culture of pneumonic lungs from 20 sheep and 120 goats yielded 17 mycoplasmas, 13 from goats (10.8%) and 4 from sheep (20%). Of the isolates 10 were Mycoplasma arginini (3 from sheep, 7 from goats) and 2 were Mycoplasma ovipneumoniae (from goats).
