Composition of blood from 9 Black Pied cows was studied from their 3rd month of lactation to the 9th. Blood sugar fell as milk yield declined; concentrations of total lipids, cholesterol, lecithin, non-esterified fatty acids and volatile fatty acids increased; erythrocyte count fell but that of lymphocytes increased.
