Morningglory (Ipomoea spp.) control in cotton with pre- and postemergence herbicides

Field experiments were established in the southeastern USA to evaluate pre-em. and post-em. herbicides applied alone or in sequence for the control of morningglory (Ipomoea sp.) in cotton. The degree of herbicide control of Ipomoea sp. and the yield of seed cotton varied with rainfall at the time of sowing. Fluometuron persisted for longer periods than did cyanazine.
