New trematodes of the genus Lecithodendrium Looss, 1896 from the microchiropteran bat, Taphozous perforatus perforatus Geoffroy

Indian Journal of Parasitology 3(1): 33-37

Lecithodendrium (Lecithodendrium) jodhpurensis n.sp. (2 specimens) from the intestine of Taphozous perforatus perforatus from Mahamandir, Jodhpur, India, differs from all other members of the subgenus, except L. (L.) parorchium, in having a Y-shaped excretory vesicle. It differs from L. (L.) parorchium in the absence of a watch-spring-like coiled epididymis and from all members of the subgenus in the pre-acetabular position of the ovary, testes and cirrus pouch.
