Observations on the influence of atmospheric conditions, dose and method of application of Reglone and potato haulm mass at the time of treatment on the rate of desiccation of leaves and stems

In a two-year experiment at three sites, involving nine varieties, Lenino and Warta produced the greatest haulm mass in both years. Leaf death after Reglone (diquat) application occurred most rapidly in Bolko and Merkur but stem death was under environmental rather than varietal control. Mechanically damaged haulms responded more rapidly to the treatment, Bolko being especially sensitive.
