Starting with a foundation stock of Brahman females , 5 breeding systems were compared on each of 3 pasture types. The breeding systems compared were as follows: (1) upgrading to Aberdeen-Angus (AA) sires; (2) upgrading to Hereford sires; (3), (4) and (5) 2-breed rotational crossing involving AA and Hereford, AA and Brahman, and Hereford and Santa Gertrudis (SG) resp.
