Pasture programs and beef cattle breeding systems for beef production in North Central Florida. Beef Research Unit experimental phase No. 3. Animal response

Technical Bulletin, Agricultural Experiment Stations, Florida University (789): 23-29

Starting with a foundation stock of Brahman females , 5 breeding systems were compared on each of 3 pasture types. The breeding systems compared were as follows: (1) upgrading to Aberdeen-Angus (AA) sires; (2) upgrading to Hereford sires; (3), (4) and (5) 2-breed rotational crossing involving AA and Hereford, AA and Brahman, and Hereford and Santa Gertrudis (SG) resp.
