Of 150 eggs of Heliothis armigera (Hb.) collected on okra (bhendi) in Karnataka, India, in May 1977, 12 were parasitised by Trichogramma australicum Gir. A colony of the parasite has been established on eggs of H. armigera and Corcyra cephalonica (Stnt.) in the laboratory.
