Relationships between pathogens and insecticide in grass grub

Relationships between pathogens and insecticide in grass grub

Proceedings of the thirty second New Zealand weed and pest control conference Southern Cross Hotel, Dunedin August 7th to 9th 1979: 92-95

The incidence of infection by pathogenic Protozoa and milky disease in Costelytra zealandica (White) was monitored in 3 field insecticide tests in pastures in New Zealand in 1977-79 These indicated that insecticides are much more harmful to diseased larvae than to healthy ones. These results were confirmed by topical applications in the laboratory.
