Relationships between plant nutrient uptake and constituents of meadow fescue (Festuca pratensis Huds.) with regard to suitability for conservation. 1. Nutrient uptake, nutrient ratios and composition of the plant
Wirtschaftseigene Futter 21(4): 304-311
In plot experiments in 1965-74, 1st growth of meadow fescue was cut at 7-day intervals from the start of growth until seed ripening. Simple correlation coefficients were calculated between DM yield, DM content of DM, CP, CF, total water-soluble carbohydrates and other carbohydrates and uptake of N, P, K, Ca, Mg and Na, their utilization and ratios between these nutrients.
