Relationships between the electrophoretogram, blood values and the histopathological picture in hens vaccinated against fowl cholera

Relationships between the electrophoretogram, blood values and the histopathological picture in hens vaccinated against fowl cholera

Lucrari Stiintifice Institutul Agronomic "N Balcescu", Seria C1976 ( 1978); 18/19: 111-116

Two groups of seven hens were vaccinated with two different strains of Pasteurella multocida, one of which (A) protected four of the seven against challenge, while all of the other group (B) died. Electrophoresis showed a 32% increase in gamma globulins in group A after vaccination, and 82% increase after challenge, compared with 1% and 25%, respectively, in group B.
