Relative efficacy of modern synthetic insecticides for the control of leaf-curl (churda-murda) in chillies

Relative efficacy of modern synthetic insecticides for the control of leaf-curl (churda-murda) in chillies

Pesticides 11(9): 23-24

Chilli suffers severely from leaf curl in India. A virus origin of the disease has not been proved, but aphids (Aphis gossypii), thrips (Scirtothrips dorsalis) and mites (Hemitarsonemus latus) spread it. In this experiment granular systemic insecticides were tested in the nursery and sprays in the field. All nursery treatments had positive effects.
