Relative resistance of aphid predator, Coccinella septempunctata Linn. to insecticides

Indian Journal of Entomology 412: 149-154

Laboratory experiments were carried out in India to determine the resistance of larvae of the predator Coccinella septempunctata L. to 19 insecticides. Bioassays showed that relative toxicity values were higher for phorate, phosphamidon, diazinon, malathion, formothion, phenthoate and parathion-methyl than for parathion (ethyl parathion) (1.00), and lower for fenitrothion, naled (Orthodibrom), dichlorvos, rotenone, leptophos, trichlorphon, gamma -BHC (lindane) and p,p'-DDT.
