Relative Tolerance of Selected Soybean Cultivars to Hoplolaimus columbus and Possible Effects of Soil Temperature

Twelve soybean cultivars were tested for susceptibility to Hoplolaimus columbus in field and glasshouse experiments and optimum soil temperature for infectivity was determined in glasshouse experiments. None of the cultivars were resistant. Soil populations increased on fumigated (DBCP at 10 kg a.i./ha) and nonfumigated soil. Cultivar P.I. 90763 had the lowest level of infestation at the last sampling date.
