Remote sensing of irrigated areas by colour infra-red photography

Remote sensing of irrigated areas by colour infra-red photography

1er Colloque: Pedologie et Teledetection Rome, 29 August 9 September 1977, organized by International Society of Soil Science, Commission V: 85-98

A study was carried out in the Anjou valley (Authion-Loire Valley), an area of sandy loamy and sandy clayey soils. The flight was made in July 1976 under drought conditions which enhanced the differences between irrigated and non-irrigated areas. The colour IR photographs were at a scale of 1:13 000; different crops could be readily identified.
