Remunerative dairy farming - cost benefit analysis

Mysore Journal of Agricultural Sciences 12(4): 649-654

Analysis of data on the ten cow unit maintained at Southern Regional Station, National Dairy Research Institute, Bangalore, showed that dairy farming is economically viable as the cost of milk production is lower than the prevailing selling price, the internal rate of return is 35.25% and the benefit-cost ratio is 1.7.
