Reproductive potential and endocrinological responses of sheep kept under controlled lighting. II. Pituitary and gonadal responses of ewes and rams to a six-monthly light cycle

Reproductive potential and endocrinological responses of sheep kept under controlled lighting. II. Pituitary and gonadal responses of ewes and rams to a six-monthly light cycle

Animal Reproduction Science 3(1): 39-56

40 entire ewes (Merinos and their crossbreds with Dorset Horn, South Suffolk and Border Leicester) were kept in environmentally controlled rooms with a 6-mth light cycle for 2 yr. The light regime and the animals were described in Pt. 1. Six mature, spayed Border Leicester X Merino ewes and 4 intact Poll Dorset rams were kept under the same conditions.
