Av. grain yields of 2 bajra (Pennisetum americanum) genotypes were increased from 2.34 to 4.02 t/ha with increases in rates of applied N from 0 to 150 kg/ha; further increases in yields with 200-250 kg N/ha were not significant. Crops grown in rows 30, 45 and 60 cm apart gave yields of 3.7, 3.55 and 3.4 t/ha; the difference was not significant.
