Response of indica rice to nitrogen and plant spacings

In trials with 3 rice given 0-200 kg N + 80 kg P2O5 + 80 kg K2O/ha, the opt. economic N rate for the dwarf Jaya and IR20 and the tall Hansraj was 158, 116 and 36 kg/ha, resp., with expected paddy yields of 6.09, 4.98 and 2.9 t/ha.
