Response of the potato varieties Narew, Pola, Sokol and Sowa to various herbicides and methods of cultivation under the soil and climatic conditions of Bonin

Response of the potato varieties Narew, Pola, Sokol and Sowa to various herbicides and methods of cultivation under the soil and climatic conditions of Bonin

Biuletyn Instytutu Ziemniaka (21): 71-97

Phytotoxic effects of treatment with eight herbicidal preparations, each applied at three different rates, were least in Sokol In crops grown under artificially severe conditions of weed infestation during early stages of development, Patoran (active principle metobromuron) ensured the highest tuber yields in three varieties but Pola yielded best when treated with Sencor (metribuzin), which provided high yields in Sokol and Sowa also.
