Part I is concerned with the design and description of various pragmatic frameworks of social and economic information for urban and rural analysis adapted from general conceptual systems of regional accounts and from dynamic social accounting models. The statistical frameworks are extended, where appropriate, to certain satellite tables which are either integral or directly related to the system.
