Stage of seed development in lucerne in relation to external conditions and mode of pollination

Stage of seed development in lucerne in relation to external conditions and mode of pollination

Internat Graslandkongr, Sekt Vortrage, Leipzig 13(1/2): 234-240

In 30 clones of different genetic constitution the number of pod-bearing flowers and the mean seed number per pod, though affected by weather conditions, were closely related to seed yield per plant, both when selfing and crossing were used.
