Rice Ketaktara was subjected to natural conditions or temp. of 25 deg or 30 deg C for various periods from flowering to harvest at a seed m.c. of 20%. Seed dormancy was investigated at 10-day intervals after harvest. Dormancy of seed ripened at 30 deg was lower than that of seeds ripened in natural conditions, while dormancy tended to be increased in seeds ripened at 25 deg. The level of germination inhibitors was lower in seed ripened at 30 deg than in seed ripened at 25 deg.
