The effects of cooling rate, dilution temp., equilibration time and freezing method on the motility of spermatozoa in frozen-thawed boar semen were investigated. A basic diluent containing 6.056 g Tris, 3.4 g citric acid, 0.3 g EDTA, 3.0 g dextrose, 20 IU penicillin, 0.2 g streptomycin and 170 ml distilled water is recommended.
