Mean inbreeding depression for the I1-I6 relative to the I0 was 31% for frequency of full siliquas and 22% for seed number/siliqua. Mean depression relative to the open-pollinated sibs was 29% for seed yield/plant and was also high for seed, siliqua and branch number per plant. For 1000-seed weight and plant height it was 4 and 7%, respectively, and for contents of oil, protein and glucosinolates it was even lower.
