Studies on infections in the genital tract of buffaloes

Bacteriological isolation of infective agents from three cases of bursitis, eight of subacute endometritis, two of chronic endometritis and eight of metritis encountered during a study of reproductive organs from 900 slaughtered buffaloes was carried out. One each of Salmonella arizona, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Listeria monocytogenes was isolated from both bursal and uterine contents from the three cases of bursitis.
