Studies on lipids of adult, nymph and larva of the grain mites

Studies on lipids of adult, nymph and larva of the grain mites

Japanese Journal of Sanitary Zoology 30(3): 237-241

Qualitative and quantitative analyses of the lipid contents were carried out on the adults of 5 species of grain mites. The total lipid contents were found to be 2.1% for Tyrophagus putrescentiae (Schr.), 2.9% for Lardoglyphus konoi (Sasa & Asanuma), 2.4% for Aleuroglyphus ovatus (Troup.), 2.6% for Carpoglyphus lactis (L.) and 1.6% for Dermatophagoides farinae Hughes.
