Indian Veterinary Journal 56(6): 455-461

Of 790 apparently normal slaughtered sheep examined histologically for abnormalities in lungs, 135 showed various lesions. Bacterial pneumonias accounted for 32 cases. Viral pneumonias made up of jaagsiekte (6), maedi (2), sheep pox (2) and giant cell pneumonia (1) were seen in 11 lungs. Fungal lesions consisted of nocardiosis (5) and an unidentified fungus.
