An investigation of rice drying using solar heated air is reported. Two 76 x 62 cm flat plate solar collectors were constructed of 22 gauge corrugated galvanized iron roof sheets blackened with bituminous paint, with a plywood plank fitted 6 cm below to form an air duct which was connected to a blower assembly for forcing the heated air through the grain bed.
