Studies on productivity of some soyabean cultivars grown under irrigated conditions in southern Bulgaria

The performances of several soyabean grown as a main crop after wheat or as a catch crop after winter fodder pea were investigated in irrigated field trials in 1972-5 on leached cinnamonic forest soil given NP. When grown as a main crop, highest seed yields of 2.72-3.82 t/ha were given by Merit among the early-maturing group (growth duration 112-128 days), 2.7-3.79 t by Flora among the mid-season group (121-137 days) and 3.5-4.2 t by Amsoy among the late-maturing group (128-148 days).
