Studies on respiration as a factor of plant productivity (as exemplified with red clover)

Studies on respiration as a factor of plant productivity (as exemplified with red clover)

Fiziologiya i Biokhimiya Kul' turnykh Rastenii 12(1): 89-98

The topics of the problem 'respiration and plant productivity' are listed. The interrelationships between respiration (R), gross photosynthesis (Pg) and growth ( DELTA W) in red clover in the 2nd yr of growth were studied. It was shown that R/Pg attained 60-80%, DELTA W/( DELTA W + R) = 0.4 and it was lower than for many other crops.
