25 German Mutton Merino male lambs in 1 sire group were submitted at 18-20 wk of age to training to serve an artificial vagina. Of the 24 males which were trained, 3, 1, 11, 5 and 4 ejaculated first at 171-180, 181-190, 191-200, 201-210 and 211-220 days of age resp. The 1st usable ejaculate (50% motility) was obtained at an av. age of 225.6 days (198-266), when body weight averaged 47.3 kg (39.0-53) and scrotal circumference 30.9 cm (27.0-33.5).
