Studies on some enzymatic and amino acid levels in water stressed wheat seedlings

Thesis Abstracts 3(4): 270-271

Effects of soil moisture stress of -1, -3 and -5 bar osmotic potential or no stress on germination, growth and chemical composition of seedlings of 2 wheat were investigated. The values for germination, fresh wt., free proline in DM and protein contents and acid phosphatase and peroxidase activities were higher in both stressed and unstressed seedlings of S-308 than in C-306.
