Studies on sowing and fertilizer rates of sainfoin under rain-fed conditions of hilly region of Armenian SSR

In trials during 2 yr under rain-fed conditions in hill region of Armenia with Onobrychis viciifolia using different sowing and fertilizer rates, crops sown at 8.75 million germinable seeds/ha and given 60 kg P2O5 + 40 kg K2O/ha before autumn cultivation, seed treatment with Nitragin and 45 kg N + 30 kg P2O5 + 20 kg K2O/ha at sowing gave the highest av. yields of 15.36 t hay and 8217 FU/ha; this treatment also produced the greatest increases in grain and FU yields of spring barley in the following yr.
