Studies on susceptibility to Plasmodium berghei in a normal vector population of Anopheles atroparvus after the introduction of plasmodium-refractory genotypes: the establishment of the vector population with overlapping generations

Studies on susceptibility to Plasmodium berghei in a normal vector population of Anopheles atroparvus after the introduction of plasmodium-refractory genotypes: the establishment of the vector population with overlapping generations

Acta Leidensia 47: 79-88

In preliminary work towards studies on genetic interference with a malaria vector population by the introduction of a strain highly refractory to Plasmodium berghei, a target colony of a wild strain of Anopheles atroparvus Van Thiel was established and its biology and genetic compatibility with the refractory strain was investigated.
