Monatshefte fur Veterinarmedizin 33(23): 898-901

360 sheep heavily infected with Dicrocoelium dendriticum were treated orally with 300 or 600 mg/kg body-weight of hexachloroxylol and the excretion of ova was reduced by 90.9%. In 50 treated with 200 to 300 mg/kg of thiabendazole, the reduction was 52.6%. In 53 given 7.5 to 10.0 mg/kg of rafoxanide, the reduction was 50.8%. In 50 given 20 mg/kg of mebendazole, the reduction was 70.3%. For comparison, 50 were given 15 to 20 mg/kg of Hetolin, and the reduction was 92.9%.
