In field trials in 1975-7 at (a) Fundulea on a medium leached chernozem, (b) Geoagiu on an alluvial soil and (c) Magurele on a chernozem-like soil, perennial ryegrass (d) Weidauer and (e) De Banat and cocksfoot (f) Baraula and (g) De Banat were sown in 1975 and harvested the following 2 yr at 10 cm ht., 25% boot stage or flowering. 80 kg N/ha was given each spring and 80 kg P2O5 + 80 kg K2O/ha each autumn.
