Studies on the duration of pregnancy in relation to size of lamb at birth in indigenous and cross-bred sheep

Studies on the duration of pregnancy in relation to size of lamb at birth in indigenous and cross-bred sheep

Indian Veterinary Journal 56(10): 855-858

207 Nali and 201 Chokla ewes were inseminated with semen of rams of their own breed or from Rambouillet and Soviet Merino rams. Mean gestation length and lamb birth weight are tabulated according to type of mating and sex of lamb. Gestation length was not significantly affected by lamb genotype. Birth weight was significantly affected by genotype and sex.
