Seeds attained their maximum dry weight about 1 month after flowering on 5-7 August; the colour of the seed coat changed from green at 15 days after flowering to brown 30 days after flowering and to black with ripening. The germinability of seeds gradually increased from 10 days after flowering but dormancy developed from 20-25 days after flowering.
