Studies on the influence of CCC on shoot and root development of summer rye as affected by soil water supply

Bayerisches Landwirtschaftliches Jahrbuch 54(2): 198-211

Three-year pot experiments were carried out with 0 or 3 l CCC/ha sprayed at Feekes growth stage H-I and water supply maintained at 80-100 and 50-60% of capacity. CCC caused a shortening of culm growth but an increase in root growth. The lower water supply led to a decrease in root and shoot growth and a 6-23% reduction in grain yield.
